CHILLING WITH CHEWY

I didn't forget about this blog, I'm just enjoying some time off with my dog, watching playoff basketball and hockey, catching up on all those shows on DVR, and trying to sleep past 6am. I'll be writing again soon.

DANA JACOBSON BIOGRAPHY

Dana Jacobson joined the CBS Sports Family in December after nearly a decade of work at ESPN. She can be heard on the new CBS Sports Radio Network from 6-9am ET hosting the morning show alongside Tiki Barber and Brandon Tierney. She can also be seen on TV filling various roles on CBS Sports Network, the first of which was fill in duty on Rome (6pm ET).

An award winning Sports Anchor and Reporter, Dana started her ESPN career as an anchor on the Emmy Award winning SportsCenter. She went on to anchor and host ESPN First Take (originally known as Cold Pizza), Outside the Lines, and College Football Live. Away from the studio she spent part of one season doing sideline reporting for ESPN’s Sunday Night NBA showcase game and became a well-known part of ESPN’s Summer and Winter X Games, hosting the event’s nightly wrap up show: XCenter. Never one to settle for the familiar, Dana branched out to write for ESPN.com and fill in as a radio host on The Dan Patrick Show and Mike and Mike.

After graduating from the University of Michigan, Dana got her first job in television broadcasting as an assignment editor at the CBS affiliate in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan. She turned her focus to on air work, reporting and anchoring in Traverse City, Michigan and Sacramento, California where she was honored with National Headliner and Regional Edward R Murrow Awards for sports reporting. It was in Northern California that Dana also first gave sports radio a try, co hosting an NBA show on the Sacramento Kings flagship station, KHTK 1140.

Dana is the proud dog parent to a lab-mix rescue. She’s jumped out of an airplane with the Army’s Golden Knights and in paying off a crazy sports bet cheered with the OSU spirit squad. She ran her first half marathon in 2011 and continues to toy with the idea of a full. She's a passionate sports fan who is never afraid to go toe to toe with the guys and takes great pride in having the best shoes while doing so.
