IT'S BEEN A GREAT RUN

Nearly a decade after uttering my first, I just said my last SportsCenter "see ya".  I'll always treasure my time at ESPN, but I'm ready for a new challenge! Thanks for all of the kind words about my work, good thoughts for my future, and questions about where you can find me next.  I promise to let you know as soon as it's settled.  Until then, you can find me here: danajacobson.blogspot.com and on twitter @danajacobson

  14. I'll miss seeing you on SC. You made us Michigan fans real proud.

But I must ask you this, Dana:

Even though your time at Bristol is coming to an end, is there a possible chance we might hear on the new ESPN AM Radio Station in Detroit in the next upcoming months? I heard they were getting ready to start showcasing their local talent. I was just wondering whether or not they had contacted you or would like to have you there. I think it would be a great fit.

If not, then thanks for all your contributions on ESPN for the past few years. Best of luck to you in your future.

  15. Watching the shambolic mess that First Take has become without you and now Jay gone, I really miss the good ol' days. Thanks for the great work, it was appreciated.

My earliest memory of your ESPN run was in either 2002 or 2003, when you were anchoring SportsCenter with Dan Patrick. You made some funny or faux-deprecating comment to him and he deadpanned, "You're Fired" or something like that, and then you kinda gave him this cute "I'm sorry" face/apology. Hi-lar-ri-ous. The only reason I remember it to this day is because I think I tuned in later on that week and you weren't there; I was like "damn, maybe Dan Patrick really did get her fired" LOL. Every now and then I search Youtube hoping that clip has improbably made it there but, no luck.

Best of luck in future ventures.
